What we do

We help you find and apply for finance, including vehicle, truck and equipment finance, commercial property, cashflow finance, insurance premium funding, car loans and home loans. We work with a panel of more than 30 lenders, including the major banks, second-tier and specialist lenders. We don’t act for any lender and we don’t lend money ourselves.

Our obligations for consumer loans

Where a loan is for personal, domestic or household purposes (or to buy or improve residential investment property), the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 applies. Before we suggest a loan or help you apply, we must:

  • make reasonable inquiries about your requirements and objectives, and your financial situation;
  • take reasonable steps to verify your financial situation; and
  • make a preliminary assessment of whether the loan is “not unsuitable” for you.

A loan will be unsuitable if it doesn’t meet your requirements and objectives, or if you couldn’t meet the repayments, or could only do so with substantial hardship. You can ask us for a copy of our preliminary assessment within seven years of the date we gave you credit assistance. We’ll give it to you within 7 business days if you ask within two years, or within 21 business days after that. For home loans, we must also act in your best interests, and put your interests first if there’s a conflict.

For business and commercial loans these rules generally don’t apply, but we still aim to recommend finance that suits your business and its cashflow.

Fees and how we’re paid

  • Fees you pay us. Our assessment is free. If we charge you a fee for arranging a consumer loan, we’ll give you a credit quote setting out the fee before we provide any assistance, and you don’t have to pay it unless you accept the quote. For business loans, any brokerage fee is agreed with you and shown in your loan documents before you sign.
  • Commissions from lenders. We usually receive a commission from the lender when your loan settles, and sometimes a trailing commission over the life of the loan. Commissions are paid by the lender, not by you. We’ll tell you the amount, or how it’s worked out, before you apply, and you can ask us for more detail at any time.
  • Payments to introducers. If someone referred you to us, we may pay them a referral fee out of our commission. We’ll tell you if this applies.

Lenders we use most

In the 2025–26 financial year, the lenders we most often arranged finance with were: Westpac, Toyota Finance (including Toyota Fleet Management), National Australia Bank, Pepper Money, IQumulate Premium Funding and Bank of Queensland (BOQ Finance).

Your privacy

We’ll collect and use your personal and credit information to help you, and share it with the lenders we approach for you. Read our privacy policy for details.
